When We Breathe Together: Relationships & Intimacy in Theatre

ON SITE ONLY. NO ZOOM. Playwright Gina Stevensen reflected on how the ancient practice of communal story telling allows for connection, empathy and meaning. 

Welcome Special GuestGina Stevensen is a playwright, dramaturg, performer, and writing instructor. She received a 2023 Vermont Arts Council Creation Grant to develop her new play Breakfalls, which will premiere at Vermont Stage in their upcoming season. She was a 2022 artist in residence with the Ragdale Foundation and the 2021 winner of the Kernodle New Play Award. Gina received her BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch and her MFA in Playwriting from Columbia University. Since moving to Vermont in 2020, she has performed with Vermont Stage, Middlebury Acting Company, and three years in  Burlington’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration. Gina is the director of Middlebury Acting Company’s American Dreaming New Play Festival, back for a second year and coming up August 11-13.
