Join us for a fall book read that will be sure to wake up the way we think about expectations of our relationships with others, how we make decisions of what to say yes, no or maybe to, and ways these ideas can change the world by challenging dominant cultural scripts about how and who we love.The book is: LOVE in a F*cked-Up World, How to Build Relationships, Hook Up, and Raise Hell Together by Dean Spade.
About the Author: Dean Spade is a trans lawyer, author and activist, and a leading voice for trans liberation, prison abolition, and mutual aid for over 20 years. He teaches at the Seattle University School of Law. His newest book dares us to decide that our interpersonal actions are not separate from our politics of liberation and resistance.
We will meet 3 times to discuss 3 sections of the book, and virtual participation will be available on zoom here. Come for 1, or all of the discussions ( but please come having read the book!)
