Women’s History and Why It Matters

Onsite & Zoom. Unitarian and Universalist women began to be ordained to the ministry in the late 19th century. It was a big change, for everyone… one that is still happening. Some thoughts about what we’re learning about being an inclusive faith. Explore this month’s Soul Matters theme of paying attention to this with Rev. Tricia Hart. We’ll share our offering plate with Atria Collective working to reduce domestic violence and Charter House Coalition providing safe emergency housing. Plan to stay after the service for a brief informal follow up discussion with Rev. Tricia as part of her Adult RE: The Stories that Got Us this Far series.

  • How does the evolving history of UUism fit into the larger story of religion in this country?
  • Can UUs understand and explain our theology? (Do we really have to?)
