Onsite & Zoom. Join us for our next summer worship service with invited guest Debbie Weiner Soule facilitated by Jordan Young. It’s a time when we’re being blasted with information – some generated by AI, some by actual humans…some of it accurate, and some of it ‘interpreted’ (or maybe, made up). Sometimes the facts are in front of us – and still, we may choose to not see them – to “un-know” what is real. We’ll explore what knowing and “un-knowing” can do to us – and where we go from here.We’ll share our offering plate with Festival on the Green in support of their annual summer festival on the Middlebury Town Green. Kids will start in worship then go to Fenn House for magical crafts with Jim Bijolle.

Children at Summer Worship: Children are welcome to stay in worship sitting with family members or at our activity table, use our nursery (unstaffed), or accompany a volunteer to Fenn House for a fun activity when these are provided through Aug 30 (and excluding July 5).
Stay for Social Hour in the Ann Ross Fellowship Hall!
NOTE TO ONLINE VIEWERS: Our “ask” to our tech team for summer services is that there be only one person needed to give others a rest. That person will start the Zoom meeting, admit people from the waiting room (since Zoom now requires this), and then run the sound system. There will be no “zoom social hour.”
About Deborah: Deborah Weiner is a Unitarian Universalist transitional ministries consultant and leader who focuses on helping congregations in transition bring health and vitality to their ministries and congregational systems. She is a lifelong UU, a coach and mentor to religious professionals as well as a writer and editor. She has served in leadership roles for both the continental and New England Liberal Religious Educators Association (LREDA) and the Association for Unitarian Universalist Music Ministries (AUUMM) as well as the Association of Unitarian Universalist Transitions Professionals (AUUTP). For more than twenty years was on the staff of the Unitarian Universalist Association. She is currently serving as Consulting Transitional Director of Faith Formation at the Unitarian Universalist Area Church in Sherborn, MA. In her ‘copious spare time’ she operates a small catering business, The Delicious Dish, and can often be found performing in musical or theatrical productions in the greater Boston area. Deb lives
in Lexington, MA with her spouse, Ben Soule (also a lifelong UU); together they are parents to two daughters.
