The Jewish holiday of Chanukah celebrates the victory of the Jews over their imperial occupiers in ancient Judea – symbolized by the miracle of the holy lamp that burned for eight days. Do the stories of religions of the past have something to teach us in this darkening time? We continue to sell ornaments made by our RE children for a good cause (Green Mountain Justice’s Warmth with Dignity Project) and share our offering plate this month with  World Central Kitchen.
