Social Justice Ministry
Is your spirit called to create a more equitable and just world for all? Our Social Justice Ministry extends beyond our congregation to our town, county, and state and strives to center the marginalized.

Within the overall Social Justice Ministry, we’ve organized into various “seed” groups including:
The LGBTQIA+ community
Housing Security
Migrant Justice
Food Security
Unhoused Neighbors Support

CVUUS Social Justice Ministry Covenant
(adopted by the CVUUS Board of Trustees, Nov 11, 2024)
CVUUS affirms that collective social justice action is integral to the tradition of our Unitarian Universalist faith and necessary for demonstrating our values in our community. As a part of CVUUS, our Social Justice Ministry will serve by centering the needs of the oppressed and marginalized, orchestrating social justice planning and actions, and creating opportunities for CVUUS to put our faith into action in and beyond the walls of our congregation.
CVUUS Covenant to Dismantle Racism & Other Oppressions
(Based on the UUA 8th Principle work, Adopted by the congregation March 5, 2023)
“We commit to journey toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community through our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.”

We hope to shine our light with our Side with Love t-shirts which you can purchase during social hour after worship or by contacting Mary Hadley or Mike Greenwood.
